Our Board of Directors
Governance, stewardship, and community leadership
The CASA Board of Directors aids and supports CASA of Harford County in advocating for abused and neglected children and helping educate the community about its responsibility for vulnerable children in the court process.
Purpose of the Board
The board is responsible for approving any changes to the overall mission and for fiduciary and legal governance. They are also focused on assuring that the program has all the necessary resources to continue their work. Oversight and governance lie with the Board, while day-to-day management operations lie with the Executive Director.
Members are recruited for their demonstrated commitment to the values and mission of the organization. The board consists of members with a variety of skill sets, diversity of background, race, and life experiences, and a shared commitment to the agency’s mission.
